Privacy. Something that we think we want, until someone gives us a cell phone and an Instagram account. People get very upset about the government prying into their privacy, and yet they are likely to spill their deepest darkest secrets to their hairdresser next time they get their hair done. We are funny like that. We want privacy, but always on our own terms. I live in a small house with a husband, three teenagers, and six dogs. There is no privacy to be had...
Scent is a powerful thing! Smells hold so much nostalgia, and can take us back to memorable times in our lives. For pregnant women, otherwise harmless smells can trigger an avalanche of nausea. For others, certain scents can instantly force a painful memory to the surface. In the psychic world, scents are powerful as well.
The spirit world does a great job at grabbing our attention through our sense of smell. It is called “clairolifacation.”
Suicide. It's not a comfortable topic, but one that must become a part of our dialog about death. Part of my job is communicating with people who have died, as a medium. I often work with grief stricken families looking for answers. I have worked with countless families who have suffered a suicide among their loved ones. I am often able to help them find some peace. So many of the questions, both spoken and unspoken, are the same.
